Two Dried Leaves

Professional Background

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the intricacies of human behaviour and have had a deep desire to connect with, and help, others. This lay the perfect foundation for me to get into my chosen career path as a counsellor. As a registered clinical counsellor it is my honour and privilege to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for people to share their stories and to gently begin exploring some of the behaviours and beliefs that are holding them back from leading the life they want.

I hold a BA of Psychology and a Masters of Clinical Counselling and am registered with the British Columbia Registered Clinical Counsellors (registration #14841).

Although my degrees have certified me to do this work I believe that my personal relationships and experiences have best prepared me to be an effective therapist.

Personal Background

I was born and raised in Germany until my family immigrated to Vancouver when I was 5 years old. After many years of feeling torn between two cultures and two continents, I have come to love Vancouver as my home and feel grateful to be raising my two beautiful children here.  In my downtime I enjoy  spending time outdoors hiking, biking, and skiing. Being physically active has always been a priority to me but in the last 10 years I have also dedicated myself to my yoga and mindfulness practice and you will find that these influences weave their way throughout my work.
